Manufacturer Repairs & RMA Tracking
When equipment goes back to the manufacturer for repair, it can disappear for weeks with nobody sure of its status. Beam keeps the repair as a ticket on the asset, with its coverage, vendor and service contacts in view, keeps the vendor's email replies inside the ticket, and counts repairs and RMAs by vendor on each company's page. The asset's status shows it is out for repair until it is checked back in.

Use case in practice
- Repair Tickets on the Asset: Each RMA is a ticket linked to the device, with its serial number and history.
- Coverage in View: Warranty and support contract status show whether the repair should be covered.
- Vendor Emails in the Ticket: External replies by email stay inside the ticket.
- Service Contacts: Manufacturer service contacts and support information come with the product.
- Repairs by Vendor: Each company page shows repairs and RMAs across its products.
Why it matters
- Nothing Lost in Transit: Every unit out for repair is visible in one list.
- Repairs Paid Only When Due: Coverage is checked before money is spent.
- Vendor Accountability: Repeat repairs are visible by vendor and by product.
- Planning Around Gaps: Planners know which units are out of service.
- A Complete Record: The asset's history keeps every repair it has had.
