Common questions about pricing

What's included in each foundation vs. what costs extra?

Each foundation includes a comprehensive capability set out of the box. For Asset Intelligence, that means serialized asset records, inventory tracking, lifecycle management, locations, documents, saved views, reporting, barcode/QR support, and admin controls. You do not pay extra to manage your assets.

On top of that, every Beam deployment also gets the “Always Included” capabilities: unlimited users, SSO & MFA, custom fields, custom roles, mobile app, activity history, and more — with no upgrade gates.

Operational modules — Ticketing & Workflows, Scheduling & Reservations, Maintenance, Purchases, and others — are optional add-ons that you activate based on what your team actually needs.

How does percentage-based pricing actually work?

Your monthly platform fee is calculated as a percentage of the total value of assets (or licenses) managed in Beam. For example, if you manage $1M in total asset value on Asset Intelligence at 0.03%/mo, your monthly foundation cost would be $300/mo.

This model scales naturally with your environment. Smaller deployments pay less, and the investment grows proportionally as your portfolio grows.

Can I combine Asset Intelligence and License Intelligence?

Yes. Asset Intelligence and License Intelligence can be deployed together as connected foundations. Each is priced independently based on the value it manages: asset value for Asset Intelligence, license value for License Intelligence. Modules are shared across both.

This is ideal for organizations that need visibility across both their physical/technology assets and their software licenses and contracts.

How does Integration Intelligence workspace pricing scale?

Integration Intelligence follows a three-part pricing model: an annual integration platform fee, per-workspace pricing based on deployment size and capabilities, and optional modules activated at the integration or workspace level.

As you onboard more clients and deploy more workspaces, your investment scales with your partner business. Volume and packaging options are available. Talk to our team for specifics.

License Intelligence says "Beta Launch". Can I sign up now?

License Intelligence is currently in beta with select customers. If license and contract management is a priority for your organization, we'd love to talk about early access. You can express interest through the pricing configurator or by contacting our team directly.

Early participants help shape the product direction and typically receive favorable pricing terms.

What's the difference between Operations and Extensions modules?

Operations modules — Ticketing & Workflows and Scheduling & Reservations — power day-to-day team workflows. Most Beam deployments include at least one of these.

Extensions add specialized capabilities like Maintenance, Purchases, Projects, Financial Management, Vault & Configuration, and others. They deepen the platform with domain-specific functionality, activated only when your team needs them.

All modules are priced individually and can be added or removed as your needs change.

How are modules priced: per module, bundled, or included?

Modules are priced individually and activated based on what your team needs. You only pay for the operational capabilities you use. There are no mandatory bundles. Select the modules that fit your workflows.

For larger deployments, bundled pricing options may be available. Your Beam representative can walk through the best packaging for your situation.

Are there minimums or annual commitments?

Beam is typically sold as an annual subscription. Minimum investment levels may apply depending on the foundation and modules selected. Contact our team to discuss the specifics for your deployment size and needs.

How is "total asset value" or "total license value" determined?

Total asset value is based on the original purchase value of the assets managed in Beam. Total license value is based on the annual contract value of the licenses and agreements tracked in the platform.

Your Beam team will help you calculate the right number during onboarding. The goal is a fair, transparent metric that scales with the real scope of your environment.

Are there limits on users, documents, or storage?

Users are unlimited on every Beam deployment — there are no per-seat fees. Documents and file storage are included with every foundation at no additional cost.

Standard deployments come with generous storage allowances. If your organization has specific scale requirements, we'll work with you to find the right fit.

Where does Beam's product data come from?

Every Beam deployment plugs into Beam Insights, our continuously updated database covering 11,000+ manufacturers and millions of products. We auto-populate specs, manuals, firmware updates, lifecycle status, end-of-life dates, photos, and vendor support contacts — so your team doesn't have to chase them down.

What's the difference between Asset Intelligence and the Product Management module?

Asset Intelligence is about your specific assets — tracking each serialized device's status, location, and lifecycle in your environment. It's the foundation for managing what you actually own and operate.

Product Management is a separate module focused on product-level intelligence: manufacturer/model master records, updates and advisories, substitutions, bundles, and cross-deployment product relationships. It's a strategic layer that sits above individual assets.

What happens if my asset value increases over time?

Your pricing adjusts as your managed portfolio grows. If you add significant new assets or retire older ones, the platform fee reflects the updated total value. There are no surprise charges. Adjustments are transparent and reviewed with your team on a regular cadence.

Can I add or remove modules mid-contract?

Yes. Modules can be activated at any point during your subscription. If you need to scale down, we'll work with you on timing and adjustments. Beam is designed to grow with your operation, not lock you into capabilities you no longer need.

Is there a difference between annual and month-to-month pricing?

Annual commitments typically come with preferential pricing. Month-to-month options may be available depending on your deployment. Talk to our team about the billing structure that makes the most sense for your organization.

Does Beam pricing change over time?

Your contracted rates are locked for the duration of your agreement. If Beam introduces new pricing in the future, existing customers are given advance notice and the opportunity to renew at their current terms. We believe in earning your continued business, not surprising you with rate increases.
